HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – We’re into November now and that means the start of holiday shopping season.

But actually, many people might say the madness has already begun with so-called “Christmas Creep” sales.

It’s something that aggravated a lot of shoppers who didn’t want to see as much Christmas stuff as Halloween stuff in stores in October.

But Christmas Creep can mean some pretty good deals for shoppers.

First, let us offer some perspective.  A researcher in Missouri found a $6.50 per person boost in holiday spending for every day earlier that Thanksgiving falls each year.  So that’s what is triggering the madness for merchants.

WHNT NEWS 19 took action to find a few ways you can score.

Techtimes reports right now the Xbox One is selling at a massive holiday discount which will last until the new year: $350.

The deal saves you as much as $150 since it applies to all consoles, including Microsoft’s Kinect.  It’s the first time Microsoft has offered the Kinect at a discount.  So this deal essentially makes  the motion camera a free accessory.

If you’re ready to start doing your holiday shopping, here’s another way to make sure you get a good deal: CouponSherpa.com.  You’ll find hundreds of coupon codes that work online and in stores.

Here’s a way you won’t miss a sale of something you’re looking for.  PoachIt.com gives you coupon codes and price alert for the items you’re hunting.

One more tip:  hang onto your receipts too, not just for returning something, but also using them to get money back, perhaps.

Some stores will give you a price adjustment if the item drops in price after your purchase.
