FLORENCE, Ala – A Florence man has been arrested and charged with Attempted Murder in connection to a shooting from May.

Terrance Kareem Garrett, 29, of Florence was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder, Robbery 1st, Burglary 1st, Shooting Into an Occupied Dwelling, and Shooting into an Unoccupied Vehicle.

Police say the charges stem from a May 27 shooting in the 1300 block of Sunnyside Street. After police received a call about a shooting, officers arrived and found a male shot once in the back.

Officers also found that a separate residence and vehicle had been struck by gunfire.

Florence Police say forensic evidence located at the scene helped to link Garrett to the crime.

Garrett is being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center.

This site is horrible when it comes to grammar and spelling. Get a dictionary and look over your work. This happens multiple times a day on here. It is “shooting” not “shooring.”

I had a stroke five years ago because the main artery in the right side of my brain collapsed. Now I have no blood flowing to the right side of my brain, and I can spell better than the dolts that write articles for WHNT. Thank you for keeping the “Alabama is a bunch of dumb hicks” stereotype going Drew Galloway. This is on Drew’s WHNT page “Drew’s love for literature began at an early age when he picked up his first book, The Hobbit. His love for writing grew at UAH, where he studied English and Philosophy.” Drew “studied English and Philosophy” Drew didn’t study very much it seems. I Googled “shooring” and guess what? It is not a word. Way to go Drew.
