Update: Man feared to have drowned in Lauderdale County found alive

KILLEN, Ala (WHNT) – Emergency responders say a man feared to have drowned in Lauderdale County has been found alive.

WHNT News 19 has learned a Killen police officer found the 31-year-old man walking on Highway 72 around 1:40 a.m.

The man was taken to ECM Hospital as a precaution.  However, police say the man is not injured.

Authorities responded to a report of a possible drowning around 7:45 p.m. Thursday behind a home on Beach Hollow Road.

Witness reported seeing a man in his 30s go into the water and not resurface.

    What was he on? 31 yrs old? crack or meth? I’ve seen people high on this stuff strip naked and walk the streets to no man’s lan. REHAB will do him just fine.

    Well, we all have issues but we just don’t wander off to ditches, trenches and live everyone in limbo. A psychiatric evaluation and a drug test should be administered before any help is rendered. Ridiculous.

      Why are you jumping to conclusions that he was on drugs? Maybe the witness(es) that didn’t see him again should be tested for drugs if they didn’t see him again. See how wrong that is?
