Highway 431 in Albertville back open; Crews clear overturned tanker truck

ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Highway 431 in Albertville is back open in both directions in Albertville after crews worked for more than 13 hours to clear an overturned tanker truck.

The tanker truck was carrying gasoline when it overturned Wednesday afternoon.

Crews were able to get the cab of the truck upright overnight.

Authorities reopened the southbound lanes of the highway just after 6:00 a.m.

They reopened the northbound lanes about ten minutes later.
