ARAB, Ala. (WHNT) — Arab Police are looking for a man who they say fired shots at two people Wednesday.

Arab Police Assistant Chief Shane Washburn says the situation started at a parking lot on Brindlee Mountain Parkway. He says two people were standing outside a business when a car pulled up. “It was believed to be a Chrysler, possibly a Sebring, convertible, with a black convertible top,” Assistant Chief Washburn says.

Police say a man got out of the car and pointed a gun at the two men. “Fired a few shots in their general direction, yelled something about pills, got back in the vehicle and drove away,” Assistant Chief Washburn says.

The two victims tell officers they don’t know the man, and couldn’t give many descriptions. Officers say they believe the man’s nickname is DJ. Assistant Chief Washburn says the department doesn’t have any other witnesses at the moment, and they don’t believe surrounding businesses have surveillance video.

Arab Police is asking the public for information regarding this case. The department can be reached at (256) 586-8707.
