HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) -- Thousands of dollars in food and supplies is now in the hands of local homeless people, but thanks to a local group called the Coupon Patrol, the cost for the goods was only a fraction of what they are worth.

The group turned over hundreds of pounds of supplies to several local homeless support groups in the Tennessee Valley Tuesday evening. Members choose a charity each month to donate the goods they are able to buy at a fraction of the cost by using their skills in the supermarket.
