Work is officially underway on the 2015 Mustang, Ford’s popular sportscar. The automotive company is planning new things for this year’s model, too — the car will be sold in 120 countries by next year.

Joe Hinrichs, Ford President of The Americas, said he’s confident the Mustang will do well globally. He said research shows it is very recognized from movies and television programs.

Production began Thursday in Flat Rock, Michigan.  The 2015 model will be available in the U.S. this fall.
