MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – A Morgan County woman arrested for attempted murder has been set free.

Ranae Campbell’s attorney says his client’s charges have all been dropped. Her sister and alleged victim, Dovie Patterson, is now charged with false reporting, tampering with evidence, and resisting arrest.

It was originally reported that Giles County investigators said Campbell allegedly went to her Patterson’s home in Tennessee early Wednesday morning and attacked her with her fists and a knife. That report proved to be false.

I would like to know more about this story. Why would the woman want to kill her sister? That is pretty extreme for sure. Hopefully more comes out about this one..

May be she was on drugs. Look, we are talking about a defendant from Decatur. We all know that everybody in Decatur is on something. She was probably on PCP mixed with Vodka. lol. just want to know what that manager from serra Toyota is on because that ‘dancing-in-the-streets’ thing is getting too old for such an old man. He needs to live in a college town or something to catch with his youth.
