HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) -- Employees at the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library are fed up with vandals hitting the main branch location bathrooms.

The soap dispensers inside the men's restrooms have been vandalized countless times, and now the soap has been removed from inside the bathroom, signs have gone up and patrons now must go to the front desk to get hand sanitizer.

"This is more than just a nuisance, this is hurting our budget," communications director Ann Marie Martin says.

Staff say it is hard to figure out who is vandalizing the facilities because there is no way to monitor the area.

Martin says they will try one more time to replace the soap dispensers but if they are targeted again they will not be able to replace them in the future.

Would it hurt to say how this is happening? Are they stealing the soap? Are they tearing the dispensers down? A little information goes a long way.
