Record-breaking alligator bagged in south Alabama

(CNN) - Some hunters in Alabama are celebrating one massive catch!

Wildlife biologists with Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fishers said a family caught this record breaking gator on Saturday in south Alabama.

The biologists said the monster gator is 15-feet in length and weighs over 1,000 pounds.

It was caught by Mandy and John Stokes, Kevin Jenkins and his children.

It's the largest gator ever legally killed in the state of Alabama.
