HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT)- Newscasts have changed a lot in the past 40 years. For starters, news stories are now shot on video, which can instantly be played back, instead of on film. Film had to be driven back to the station and developed through a batch of chemicals called the “soup,” before it could be put on the air.
Also, the more obvious difference, the clothes! This clip above was the ending segment of a WHNT newscast that originally aired on October 13, 1975. Make sure you watch it to the end for the “groovy” news music.
