Huntsville Police make arrest in July 4 convenience store shooting

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville Police have made an arrest in connection to a shooting that happened in the parking lot of a convenience store on Blue Spring Road July 4.

The Huntsville Police Major Crimes Investigators arrested Jarquis Daquon Sledge, 16, and charged him with Assault 1st in the shooting of Nathan Lamar Hatcher.

On July 4, Hatcher was shot and seriously wounded in the parking lot of the Quick Trip convenience store located at 5160 Blue Spring Road.

Jarquis Sledge has been charged as an adult in this shooting.
