HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville’s municipal election is Tuesday, August 26.  On that day, voters will elect new representatives for the city council and city school board in Districts 2, 3 and 4.

In the coming days WHNT News 19 will bring you in-depth coverage on each of these races.  We have interviews lined up with each candidate in the coming days.

Here are our interviews with the two candidates for Huntsville Board of Education District 4, Walker McGinnis and Kimberly Battle.

The candidates answered questions about what they hope to accomplish, current problems and issues in the Huntsville City School system, steps needed bring Huntsville closer to unitary status, and Common Core Standards, among others.
