LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – The mystery continues.  Lauderdale County investigators are still searching for the person who shot and killed 62-year-old Royce Varnell. Detectives are trying to narrow down their list of possible killers. Deputies found his body in his Anderson home in April. The chief investigator has a list of least a dozen people who spoke with Varnell in the days before his death. Investigators believe he may have been part of a meth ring. If you have any information that can help investigators solve this case, contact the Lauderdale County’s district attorney’s office.
