SHEFFIELD, Ala. (WHNT) – Sheffield junior and high school students will see some changes at their schools. Over the summer, the school went through a transformation that residents claim was overdue.
“I`m so excited man. Cause it needed it,” said alum and Sheffield resident Barbara Hampton.
The 2.8 million dollar renovation includes a fresh coat of paint, new windows, a new roof, a new library, a new gym and a hallway to connect the school with a multipurpose building.
Superintendent Tim Morgan says he has one goal. The goal is to make Sheffield students proud of their schools.
Superintendent Morgan says the library is scheduled to be done by September 1.  The gym is scheduled for October 1 and the multipurpose room for January 1.
