Rainsville, Ala. (WHNT) – We all know someone who is battling cancer or has beaten the disease. The Hope Chapter in Rainsville is a non-profit that works every year to raise money to help cancer victims. Right now, the foundation is helping a lady who has brain cancer and two little boys.

The group has one goal, to raise as much money as it can to aid people who need help. So far, The Hope Chapter has helped 17 cancer patients by giving them more than $21,000 in cash donations in grocery and gas cards. The group also help one patient pay their utility bill to keep the lights on at their home.

This year, the group is raising money by having what’s called a draw down. It’s Sunday August 3rd  at the Northeast Alabama Hunting and Outdoor Expo at the Agri-business Center in Rainsville. Tickets are available online at the Hope Chapter website. You don’t have to be present to win. For more information, click here.
