Huntsville Police investigate shooting on Academy Drive

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Huntsville Police responded to a shooting on Academy Drive, just south of Highway 72, Wednesday night. It happened at about 10:15 p.m.

When officers arrived on the scene, they say they found a juvenile with a gunshot wound to the foot. He was taken to Huntsville Hospital with minor injuries. Police brought a canine that tracked the shooter south and into a neighborhood before the scent went cold.

Police do not believe this shooting is connected to another that happened about the same time.

No arrests have been made. Call Huntsville Police if you have any information to help in the investigation.

      everything isn’t always black on black a lot time other race’s come to this side of town to commit crime because the police are all on your side of town.
