Heels for HEALS is an ongoing shoe drive for HEALS patients.
School starts August 5! HEALS needs your help collecting new athletic shoes in all child and adult sizes. The greatest need is for larger size shoes for middle and high school students.
The Heels for HEALS program began when a HEALS nurse noticed that children were coming to school in shoes that were too large, too small, tattered and torn. Thanks to the generous donations of people in the community, HEALS gives each child a new pair of athletic shoes when they come for their annual check-up.
HEALS provides school-based medical and dental care to low income children birth to age 19. HEALS sees patients in clinics at Martin Luther King, Morris, University Place and Madison Cross Roads elementary schools.
Now through the end of August please donate shoes at HEALS, 1100 Meridian Street in Huntsville.
