HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A lot of curious drivers may have passed the big construction site on Jordan Lane and Oakwood Avenue.
A scaled-down version of a Super Walmart will soon overshadow that busy corner. It’s what District 5 Councilman Will Culver has been working toward.
“As a part of our economic development, I have been working with the corporate office of Walmart for at least two to three years on this particular project,” Culver said.
“I’ve been talking with residents in the area and some of them are looking forward to working at that particular Walmart,” Culver said.
This project is tied into the approval for the construction on L & N Drive which will also be a new Walmart. Now, it’s all in the hands of construction workers.
“They’ve got it down to a science. So, once all of the approvals are done it doesn’t take long to physically erect the building,” added Culver.
