HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT)– Huntsville Police investigators have re-arrested a Guntersville soccer coach on additional child sex charges.

David Barrow is charged with 1 count of sodomy, human trafficking and sexual abuse of a child less than 12-years-old. According to investigators, Barrow was re-arrested Wednesday as a result of their ongoing investigation from earlier this year.

Police say they have uncovered another incident involving one of the same victims from his previous arrest.

Barrow has been booked back into the Madison County Metro Jail on a $250,000 bond.

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Guntersville City School Board has suspended David Barrow from his coaching position, pending outcome of his charges.

Barrow was arrested on May 9 shortly after coaching the Guntersville High School girls’ varsity team at the State soccer semifinals in John Hunt Park.

Barrow faces three counts of sexual abuse 1st degree and one count of human trafficking 1st degree, according to jail records obtained by WHNT. Kristian Griffin was also arrested in connection to this case, and is facing charges for conspiracy to commit sexual abuse of a child less than 12.

Superintendent Dale Edwards said Monday their own investigation indicates this was isolated to Huntsville and there is no evidence Guntersville City Schools is involved at all.
