HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Keeping tabs on your children in a crowded place – like at the beach or a college football game – can be stressful for parents.

To avoid losing your kids, even for a moment, you might want to check out some newer digital tools on the market. GPS-tracking apps are widely available and can come in handy even at home.

Here are just two options worth considering:

Pocket Finder GPS – The device costs $129 plus a $13 monthly fee. Just clip it onto your child, then monitor his or her activity throughout the day using the service’s website and apps. Pocket Finder is available for Androids and iPhones.

MamaBear – Good for older children with smartphones. This free app is available for Androids and iPhones and works like this: Parents and children both download the app, then monitor the whereabouts of each other.

Both of the services above also have additional, specialized features, so take a little time to explore before deciding.

It is raterh amazing how many parents in my subdivision aske me if I have seen little timmy while I’m washing cars in the drive way. Pretty bad I know where their kids are and they don’t. To paint that picture little brighter, I don’t have kids.

Get off your butt and pay attention to your kids!!!!
