HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Are you a member of the military looking to stay in shape? Or a civilian trying to shed some extra pounds? If you’re looking to shake up your fitness routine, check out some new apps from the U.S. Navy.
The Navy Operational Fitness and Fueling System debuted three new apps in Apple’s iTunes App Store in late June.
Versions for Android devices are also reportedly on the way.
Designed to provide sailors with a “best-in-class” physical fitness and nutrition program, the new workouts and corresponding apps each have a different focus – Strength, Endurance and Sandbag.
Each intallment in the series offers a library filled with exercises, photos, as well as instructions and demonstrational videos. You’ll also find stretches, nutrition and recovery tips.
