HUNTSVILLE, Ala -
Huntsville Police tell WHNT News 19 the case was turned over to the District Attorney’s office to see if it will be left in the hands of a grand jury. The D.A. determined that — at most — the men involved would face misdemeanor charges. Police say that opened fire acted in self-defense.
Police also say that the parties involved came to a mutual agreement not to prosecute each other — and with that, the case dies.
Since the event, the city has said that they will re-valuate the safety measures taken at the park.
