GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT)- More than 30 people have signed up to put both their muscles and their hearts on the line to honor the memory of the late Nick Honea. A muscle and fitness competition will be held at the Guntersville Crossfit gym Saturday.
“There’s going to be lifting. There’s going to be running. There’s going to be gymnastics like pullups,” said gym owner Kyle Stapler.
The entry fee for the competition is going to be donated to the Nick Honea Memorial Scholarship at Albertville High School. Honea, 27, died in April in a carbon monoxide accident.
“So far we are getting a really good response,” said organizer Trent Hammond. “We’ve probably gotten 30 or so people signed up for the event so far. As far as Huntsville to Gadsden.”
