HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Downtown Huntsville Inc. is bringing back the street vendor rally Friday June 20 at Church Street and Big Spring Park – and this time the food and fun is happening on a even grander scale.
“One of the coolest new companies in downtown Huntsville is Curse gaming. They’re actually having their company-wide retreat in Huntsville – today their bringing people form all over the country, even internationally, and so they’re ‘taking over’ the food truck rally,” says Downtown Huntsville, Inc. CEO Chad Emerson.
“What that means is that they’re going to have all their employees down there and they’re giving away free Curse, Inc. t-shirts, those famous t-shirts everyone loves, to the first 500 people there on Friday.”
Emerson says attendees will also be surprised by another LightArt event at 9 p.m. sharp that will serve as a sort of farewell finale.
“For the first time ever we’re closing to vehicles and opening to pedestrians on Church Street. So you’ll be able to go between both sides of Big Spring Park right across from each other around the art museum. There’s going to be a climbing wall set up, there’s going to be two bands – it’s really going to be a unique opportunity to connect the park at least for that night.”
Here is a list of the food trucks to be featured Friday night from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
