93-year-old WWII veteran will lead Flag Day pledge Saturday in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) -- Flag Day services at the Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Huntsville Saturday will begin with a very special moment.

93-year-old WWII veteran Bob Jones will lead the pledge of allegiance.

The Huntsville Elks Lodge will host the ceremony beginning at 11:00 AM Saturday at the memorial.

Jones flew B17's  with the first squadron stationed in England  and Jones flew missions over Africa.

Everyone is encouraged to display Old Glory and take part in honoring the symbol of freedom this Flag Day ( June 14th.)
