Provides professional and technical expertise on Human Resources and Compensation programs performing strategic and operational project activities. Assists in implementation of projects and process improvements in various areas of Human Resources and Compensation. Studies and analyzes wage and salaried jobs and prepares job descriptions in standardized format. Evaluates jobs, determines grades and prepares records on the validity of the valuations. Participates in surveys and analyzes resulting market data. Develops, recommends and writes compensation program policies, proposals and procedures. Assists in the processing of employee incentives, merits and annual performance evaluations. Assists in the development of business reports supporting compensation and human resources programs.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required Education
Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college, preferably in Human Resources.
Two to three years of experience in Compensation and/or Human Resources. Extensive Compensation/Human Resources experience may be substituted for degree.
Must be able to work independently with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able and willing to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly. Requires knowledge to maintain application software/system functionality. Must exhibit excellent problem solving skills. Must be proficient in spreadsheet application. HRIS proficient – Lawson experience preferred.
