Al Hirschfeld Exhibition Opens at Huntsville Museum of Art on May 29th

The "Al Hirschfeld: A Celebration of Hollywood and Broadway" exhibition opens on May 29th and runs through September 17th at the Huntsville Museum of Art.


Louise Hirschfeld, widow of the late caricaturist Al Hirschfeld and president of the Al Hirschfeld Foundation, and David Leopold, archivist for the Al Hirschfeld Foundation (as well as an author and curator) will speak on May 29th, at 7:00 p.m. at the popular "Voices of Our Times" lecture series and Opening Party for the exhibit.

This exhibit is unique to Huntsville Museum of Art and covers 71 years of popular culture in America, including depictions of John Wayne, Carol Channing, Richard Burton, Zero Mostel, Elizabeth Taylor, Katherine Hepburn, Marlon Brando and much more.
