MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Party officials join election officials Wednesday morning to perform the final test on the county’s new voting machines.

They have tested the machines three times already.

However, something entirely different tops the list of worries for election officials.

Madison County Election Administrator Frank Barger says, “Make sure you have the correct piece of identification when you show up at your polling location. That is my biggest concern. That is the election department’s biggest concern for June 3rd.”

Barger explains the worry doesn’t so much center around people who won’t have any sort of photo id, as much as it focuses on older people who have voted for years only using their voter registration card, which is no longer enough.

The administrator just wants to make sure the word gets out to everyone.

After all, if you don’t have a photo id, the Board of Registrars can get you one printed for free on the same day.
