ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A teenager has died following a wreck late Monday night outside of Albertville.

State Troopers say the single vehicle accident happened when the driver of a car lost control on Highpoint Road.  The car flipped several times.

Cherokee Williams, 18, died Tuesday at Huntsville Hospital.

Another teen, Tashia Blanks, is listed in good condition at the hospital.  Both girls were flown there late Monday.

The driver of the vehicle, David Chappell, and Jake Blanks were also hurt, but not as seriously.  Chappell was treated and released from Marshall Medical Center South.

All four are under the age of 19.  We understand all had either graduated from Douglas High School or attended classes there at one time.

Alabama State Troopers say speed was a factor in the crash.
