HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville Police have reopened Memorial Parkway again near the Vermont Road exit following a deadly wreck Monday morning.

The wreck involved a motorcycle, and the woman driving it died on the scene.  She was headed north on the Parkway just over the Golf Road overpass when she lost control just before 9:15 a.m.  Police say she hit the inside barrier and a light pole.  No other vehicles were involved.

Police identified the woman as Christina Renee Brazier, 23, of Huntsville.

The northbound lanes of the Parkway were closed between 9 and 10:30 a.m. due to the wreck.  Drivers were diverted to the access road during this time.

She was a coworker of mine. It wasn’t a motorcycle. It was a moped. She was on her way to work this morning and lost control.

We pray the peace of God over her family and are very sad for their loss. We will keep you in prayer for strength because losing a love one is hard especially when she was so young and precious. May God bless you and keep you.
