HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville Police have reopened Memorial Parkway again near the Vermont Road exit following a deadly wreck Monday morning.
The wreck involved a motorcycle, and the woman driving it died on the scene. She was headed north on the Parkway just over the Golf Road overpass when she lost control just before 9:15 a.m. Police say she hit the inside barrier and a light pole. No other vehicles were involved.
Police identified the woman as Christina Renee Brazier, 23, of Huntsville.
The northbound lanes of the Parkway were closed between 9 and 10:30 a.m. due to the wreck. Drivers were diverted to the access road during this time.
