Slow-Speed Police Chase Goes Down Wrong Side of the Parkway

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville Police found themselves in a middle of a slow but very dangerous chase on Memorial Parkway early Monday morning.

Around 2 a.m. police saw the driver of an SUV traveling south in the northbound lanes on the Parkway at Governors Drive.

Policea caught up with him at at Martin Road, but he turned around on the Parkway.  Police then drove parallel to him, at speeds of about 38 miles per hour.  They were able to get stop sticks in front of the SUV near University Drive, and the chase ended.

Fortunately, there were no other drivers on the Parkway at that time.

Police charged the man with D.U.I. and several traffic violations.

    he wouldnt even got caught because HE WAS PROBABLY DOING THE SPEED LIMIT IF HE’S DRIVING THAT SLOW

    one night i was going down the parkway and luckily i got over in time to miss the car coming in the inside lane going the wrong way! but there was actually a cop behind us that turned around and got him. i think when these drunk drivers are caught they should not only have pay a ton of fines but i dont think they should EVER get their license back!
