HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A man is recovering in the hospital Monday morning after flipping his car over, but that isn’t the end of the story.

Huntsville Police say they were responding to a person shooting into an apartment on Patton Road.

Just after 11:00 p.m. Sunday, Huntsville Police went to the home and minutes later they received a call about a car flipping over on Belvoir Drive, a block away.

Witness at the apartment said a man shot several times into an apartment, then sped off in a green Honda.  Police went to the vehicle and found it flipped.

They say the man driving the car had shot into the apartment.

Police say a domestic dispute sparked the shooting on Patton Road.

HEMSI paramedics rushed the man to Huntsville Hospital in critical condition.

Belvoir was blocked off for several hours while police investigated.
