SoulStock Christian Music Festival Begins Tonight

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – SoulStock returns to the Tennessee Valley.

It is north Alabama’s largest outdoor Christian music festival.

SoulStock if a free event going on May 16th-17th at Point Mallard Park. The theme this year is “God in Control.”

Special guests include a two-time Grammy award nominated Christian rocker, a rap artist, and various other Christian artists.

Gates open Friday evening at 6 p.m and at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

This year’s featured speaker on Saturday is Reverend Chette Williams. He is a licensed and ordained minister. Williams joined the Auburn University’s staff in 1999 as the Auburn team chaplin. He is also the Auburn campus director for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the State Director for Urban Ministries for FCA, a three-year letterman on the Auburn football team from 1982-84, and the author of Hard Fighting Soldier.

SoulStock brings people from all over and has grown to be North Alabama’s largest free outdoor Christian concert.

Participants are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs. There will be a variety of food vendors for festivalgoers to choose from.

Admission is free.
