HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – City leaders want to make Huntsville and the Tennessee Valley a tourist destination.
The latest effort is by the Huntsville-Madison County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the food blogger Christy Jordan of The Southern Plate.
The CVB is launching a social media campaign to give away 3 vacation prize packs to bring people the Tennessee Valley.
The trips include tickets to sporting events, the Space & Rocket Center, The Botanical Garden, dining experiences and even a spa package. They include airfare and your hotel stay.
“It’s gonna be a wonderful way to spread awareness about our community as a visitor destination,” said Carlton.
She also points to events like Whistlestop, Panoply, and the Rocket City Brew Fest as a fun draw for tourists.
To enter the contest you can either use the hashtag “#RocketCityVIP”on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, or you can leave a comment here on Southern Plate.
The contest ends on May 14th, and they will announce the winners on May 15th.

With Remington coming the city/county need to look at the lack of quality shooting facilities here. Competition shooters spend a LOT of money. They are doing it right in Talladega. http://www.alashooting.com/
