LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Bobbie Taylor has been rescuing animals in Lawrence County for 72 years. Now, a group is trying to honor that incredible service by raising funds to build a no-kill animal shelter.

“A Bridge of Hope – Bobbie Taylor’s Dream” benefit concert will be held on May 3 – 4 to raise money toward the building of that shelter, which will be built right off Hwy 157 in Moulton. Two acres of land has been donated for the shelter.

There will be live bands, karaoke, food, blue grass and gospel music, food, and door prizes each hour. There will be plenty of pets on site with puppy petting and pet adoptions!

The fundraising goal is set at $100,000. The shelter will be placed in a trust as a permanent safe home for animals.

Tickets are $10 for adults. Children 10 and under free.
