Pitch ideas, form teams, then create presentations to win prizes.
The Rocket City Launch competition provides an opportunity for starters of various disciplines to meet, dream, and launch a new venture, all in the span of one weekend. A wide variety of mentors will provide wisdom, volunteers supply tools and food, and experienced entrepreneurs provide feedback at the end of the event.
The inaugural class of Rocket City Launch will be hosted at MindGear Labs in Madison and focuses on digital fabrication.
Teams will have 52 hours to prototype a physical product, create a simple business plan, and put together a pitch that will be vetted by a panel of judges at the dinner/awards ceremony that concludes the weekend.
The fun starts on Friday, May 2nd at Noon and goes through May 4th at 6:00 p.m. Cost is $60 for competitors, $20 for students and $25 for the Sunday dinner.
