Overnight Fire Sends Two to the Hospital

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A fire investigation is underway after a late night house fire sent two people to the hospital in Huntsville.

It happened around 11:50 P.M. Saturday night in the 2300 block of Rothmore Drive.

Huntsville Police and Huntsville Fire and Rescue responded the the call.

Fire Fighters discovered a unresponsive woman in the house.  Huntsville Firefighters pulled Clara Giudici and medics began treating her.

They transported her to Huntsville Hospital with life threatening injuries.  HEMSI also transported a man to Huntsville Hospital. They say his injuries were not life threatening.

Huntsville Fire and Huntsville Police Investigators are still investigating the cause of the fire.
