Auburn University’s Haley Center Given All Clear, Classes Resume

AUBURN, Ala. (WHNT) – Auburn University’s Haley Center re-opened Tuesday around 12 p.m. after closing for a bomb threat the previous two hours.

Classes resumed in the building at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

After a threat was found in a restroom, Auburn Police searched the building and determined it to be safe.  The building was evacuated just after 10:15 a.m.

Auburn Police urge people to report any suspicious activity or security concerns to 911 (emergency) or 334-501-3100 (non-emergency).

Surrounding buildings were not affected by Tuesday’s evacuation.

Auburn University canceled classes on the entire campus last week for a day after a student found a threatening message on a bathroom wall inside the same building.
