HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Earth Day, welcome to the 21st Century.

According to NASA’s website, it’s inviting everyone to celebrate Earth Day with a “Global Selfie.”

NASA describes a Global Selfie as any picture of you with wherever you are on Earth. It can be mountains, parks, lakes — whatever you call home.

NASA will take all the selfies and create a big mosaic image of Earth.

You can post the selfie with Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Google+ and Flickr. NASA will monitor those five social media sites for photos. Post your photos using the hashtag #GlobalSelfie.

I’ll celebrate Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov’s birthday by turning on all the lights (incandescent) inside and outside my house tonight.
