Two Teens Shot While Horseback Riding in Marshall County

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — Two teenagers were shot by another teenager with a shotgun while riding horseback on Saturday night, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.

It happened on Williams Bend Road in the Asbury Community in Albertville. Investigators said the two victims were riding a horse when another teenager shot the two on horseback with a shot gun. Officials identified the shooter as 18-year-old Jason Preston Oliver of Albertville.

Oliver was arrested by deputies and was booked into the Marshall County Jail. He is charged with two counts of Assault in the second degree. He has bonded out.

The two victims were taken to a local hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting.
