MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) - A community works to raise money to honor a young man who passed away two years ago. Jeremy Pinder died in a wreck in March of 2012.
He was a sophomore at Hazel Green High School and a member of the golf team.
A golf tournament was held in his honor at the Colonial Golf course in Hazel Green.
The tournament raised money for a memorial and a scholarship in Jeremy's name.
Friends say they had good memories with Jeremy on the golf course. Hunter Davidson was at the golf tournament.
"JR was great. We used to have so much fun on the golf course, no matter what it was, he always made me smile," said Davidson. "If we were playing bad, I could be shooting a 95 or a 68, and we'd be having a good time either way."
Friends like Davidson say they plan to hold the tournament again in Pinder's memory.
