Huntsville Police Charge Man with Melody Road Murder

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Investigators with the Huntsville Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit have arrested and charged Jebree Devaile King, 22, of Huntsville with Capital Murder, in connection with the death of Lawrence Alan Williams Jr., 20, of Huntsville.

The incident occurred March 23, 2014, at the 3800 Block of Melody Drive in North Huntsville.

Williams was found lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to police. He died at the scene.

Police say they believe the shooting stemmed from an argument that happened on the evening of March 23 on Hollow Road in north Huntsville. From there it progressed to Melody Drive.

Police say they found a gun in the Williams’ car, but they don’t know if it belonged to him or the shooter.
