HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The 2014 Alabama Barbecue Bracket sponsored by the state tourism department is down to the Final Four. So far, the Barbecue Bracket has been a fierce battle among the states best cooks.

“Smokin’ on the Boulevard” in Florence has reached the final four and is vying for the top spot. Jeff Carter started the business as a road-side stand two years ago and quickly gained favor among Shoals residents and now the word is spreading. “Smokin’ on the Boulevard” is best known for its ribs, which are covered in a dry rub and hickory-smoked for 8 to 10 hours.

Voting for the Final Four ends Monday, April 7, at 10 a.m. To vote for your favorite Alabama barbecue check out the Alabama Food Facebook page.
