HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Local seniors hosted children from the Boys and Girls Club of North Alabama recently to share their love of reading.
Brookdale Place Jones Farm invited the children to visit with residents in recognition of National Reading Month.
Some of the residents and children read aloud to the group, and then worked on posters about their favorite books and authors.
“It was a sight to see the residents, some of whom were 95 years old, reading and interacting with the sweet elementary-aged children. The conversations they shared about their favorite books were very interesting,” said Jana Seikel, Business Development Coordinator with Brookdale Place Jones Farm.
