Huntsville, Ala. - (WHNT) It's now been more than 17 years since Gene Stallings roamed the sidelines at Bryant-Denny Stadium. He does not have anything to do with Alabama's current two game losing streak, but did take the time on Friday to address why he thinks it happened.

"The game against Auburn, a game like that is not going to happen very often so that was obviously a disappointment. This is my opinion, Alabama felt like they should have been in California playing for the National Championship. Oklahoma was thrilled to death to play against Alabama. It was probably Oklahoma's best game and I don't think it was Alabama's best game."

Stallings went on to say the Crimson Tide will have a tough time replacing A.J. McCarron at QB and that may be the difference between a successful or disappointing upcoming season.
