MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WHNT)-  Students who were in one of the first Pre-K programs in the state visited Montgomery Tuesday.   They were invited to come down as a celebration of the state's first Pre-K classes.

There were originally eight across Alabama, starting in the fall of 2000.  One of those was in Fort Payne.   Many of those students attended the luncheon in Montgomery and later toured the capitol.

The students in the first classes are now seniors in high school and will be graduating in May.
