Hockey Tailgate Party & Digital Art Show Coming to Downtown Huntsville this Weekend

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - A special event is coming to downtown Huntsville that will celebrate UAH and hockey in the south. The UAH Hockey Tailgate Party will be held Friday, March 7, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. just outside the Propst arena at VBC.

This event is open to UAH students and the general public. Admission to the event is free, including admission to the hockey game.

Sugar Belle Cupcakes, Crave Heat, and Badd Newz BBQ will be serving food at the event, a band of UAH students will be performing, and 100 free cupcakes and 100 free tacos will be given out to the first 200 UAH students.

The next event is the Light+Innovation+Technology digital art show that will be on the buildings around the Westside Courthouse Square on March 8 from 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

The UAH College of Liberal Arts and The Arts Council Article collaborated with Downtown Huntsville, show downtown in a different light using technology in a way that people haven’t seen before in downtown Huntsville.

Downtown bars and restaurants will be serving food and drink specials. Free glow necklaces will be handed out to the first 200 people who show up at Harrison Brothers, who will be extending their hours specifically for the event.
