Woman’s Death Under Investigation in Lawrence County

TRINITY, Ala. (WHNT) - The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Trinity woman's death.  Angela Kaye Jones died from a single gunshot the night of Sunday, March 2.

Sheriff Gene Mitchell said Jones, 50 was found dead Monday morning.  She lived at 4232 County Road 316 in Trinity.

The Sheriff said there has not been a ruling on her death yet.  His office is in the early stages of the investigation.

He says investigators are working with the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences to clear up some unanswered questions, and hopes to have more information on Jones' death soon.
