ANDERSON, Ala. (WHNT) - Many homes along County Road 86 and Highway 207 were damaged due to Thursday's storm.

Judy Winnington lives in front of a house on County Road 86 that was destroyed by the storm. On Thursday, emergency workers had to take the homeowner and her son to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. They were treated and released from the hospital.

Winnington said she is grateful for the storm didn't damage her home.

"A couple of shingles, some loose tent in the back yard was blown around, but that's about it. I'm just keeping my neighbors in our prayers and hoping that everything turns out well," said Winnington.

Neighbors on County Road  in Anderson are very close and are all helping each other. Even though the storm damaged their houses, neighbors said it could have been worst.
